HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- The man convicted of assaulting a Huntsville police officer wants out of jail. Samuel Ward appeared in court Wednesday morning. Ward wants a judge to grant him bond while he appeals the conviction. He also faces an attempted murder charge for allegedly shooting at police during a separate incident.
